Next stop, Kansas City

After an early morning ride up to the top of the Arch in St. Louis we struck out across Missouri for Kansas City and our previously scheduled stop at the American Idol Tour event. This is the fifth one of these we've seen and in the fourth different city. When we arrived in town we made it down to the Power & Light District for dinner which was adjacent to the Sprint Center. The concert was as much fun as always and was packed with loyal Idol fans both young and old.

On to St. Louis

We left early on Saturday morning for the less than exciting long drive to St. Louis. This was Al's first visit to this historic locale but was also where Sheri was born. Our hotel was right next to the Arch and was quite impressive to see for the first time. The downtown area was packed with Cardinals fans when we arrived and after negotiating a great price with a scalper we decided to go to the game. It was a perfect night for baseball and made for a special memory of St. Louis. Attached is a picture of the park.

Let the Drive Begin

If cruising on our boat for 1300 miles wasn't enough, Sheri and I are setting out on another adventure in the western part of the US and Canada. We begin our trip with a stop in Atlanta to visit kids and grand kids before heading off to St. Louis and then on to Kansas City to take in the 2009 American Idol Tour concert.
